Understanding and Alleviating Anger Rumination and Perseveration

This booklet explores strategies to reduce perseveration and improve emotional and self-regulation. Strategies used in low arousal approach practices such as exercise, anxiety reduction, distraction and sensory regulation are discussed as well as how to build interoceptive awareness. By using these tools in the early stages of perseveration, rumination can be reduced and lessen the chance of behavior of concern occurring.
