We will look at some of the common ways that Autistic people grieve, discuss the stages of grief as they pertain to the Autistic person, and learn how traits of autism may inform the way they may grieve. Our expert will give examples of how friends, family, or co-workers can support an person through the grief/loss experience. Finally, we will look at accessing professional help: what are the signs that this would be necessary, and how does a therapist differentiate support for an Autistic person?
