AIDE Canada starts a conversation with Dr. Anthony Bailey about Mental Health
Dr. Anthony Bailey is a Professor and Chair of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of British Columbia. He came from the University of Oxford where he was the first medical chair devoted to the study of autism. Dr. Bailey’s research has investigated the neurobiological basis of autistic disorders, using genetic, neuropathological and neuroimaging approaches. Dr. Bailey’s clinical work focuses on teenagers and adults on the autism spectrum. In this video, Dr. Bailey discusses mental health concerns and challenges facing adults on the autism spectrum, obstacles facing adults who are seeking a diagnosis, and how we can better support adolescents and adults and empower them to live their best lives.
